Privacy Policy

Effective 1 Nov 2026 · Version 5

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how collecdev LLC ("we", "us") handles information when you use the FitFare app for iPhone (the "App") and our website at fitfare.app (together, the "Service").

The short version:

  • FitFare has no accounts. You never give us your name, email address, or password to use the App.
  • Your health data and Screen Time data stay on your iPhone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
  • We do not track you, we do not show ads, and we do not use analytics or crash-reporting tools.
  • The only service that receives data from the App is RevenueCat, which manages your subscription. It receives an anonymous ID and your App Store purchase records, nothing else.

Information that stays on your device

FitFare does almost all of its work on your iPhone. The information in this section is stored on your device only. We cannot see it, and it is not sent to our servers or to any third party.

  • Your rules and goals: the activity goals you set, the screen time they earn, and your settings.
  • Your progress: the progress and earned time that FitFare works out from your health data, and a log of that activity.
  • Your app choices: the apps, categories, and websites you choose to limit (see "Screen Time" below).

This information is kept in the App's storage on your iPhone, including the storage it shares with its widgets and extensions.

Health data (HealthKit)

FitFare asks for permission to read data from Apple Health. You choose which types to allow, and you can change this at any time in the Health app or in Settings. FitFare can read these types:

  • Activity: active energy, exercise time, stand hours, steps, walking and running distance, flights climbed, cycling distance, swimming distance, and wheelchair pushes and distance.
  • Workouts and your daily activity summary.
  • Time in daylight, mindful sessions, and sleep.
  • Your date of birth. If you do not allow this, you can enter your birthdate in the App instead.

Why we use it: FitFare uses this data only to work out when you have earned screen time under the rules you set, and to show your progress in the App and its widgets. FitFare can update in the background when Apple Health has new data, so your progress stays current.

What we never do with it:

  • We never use health data for advertising or marketing.
  • We never sell health data, and we never share it with third parties, including RevenueCat.
  • We never use health data to profile you or for any purpose other than the features described above.
  • Health data never leaves your device. FitFare has no server that receives it.
  • FitFare never writes any data to Apple Health.

Screen Time

FitFare uses Apple's Screen Time features (the FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks) to limit the apps, categories, and websites you choose until you have earned screen time.

  • When you pick apps, iOS gives FitFare opaque tokens that stand for your choices. FitFare does not learn the names of the apps you pick. The tokens are stored on your device only.
  • FitFare applies and removes limits on your device through iOS.

App & Website Usage (EU only, optional): In the 27 countries of the European Union, on iOS 26.4 or later, FitFare can show a report of your app and website usage (for example, minutes per app, usage by hour, and app names). Apple shows this report inside a protected extension that Apple keeps separate from the rest of the App. FitFare does not store this usage data and does not send it anywhere. It is shown to you only. This feature is off unless you turn it on.

Subscriptions and RevenueCat

FitFare uses RevenueCat, Inc. ("RevenueCat") to manage subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat is our service provider and the only third party that receives data from the App. It receives:

  • an anonymous app user ID that RevenueCat creates for your copy of the App (it is not linked to your name, email address, or Apple ID); and
  • your App Store purchase records: which product you bought, the transaction details, and the subscription status, including trial and renewal status.

RevenueCat uses this information only to confirm what you bought, to unlock the features you paid for, and to let you restore purchases. RevenueCat processes it for us under contract. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for more information.

Apple processes your payment. We never receive your name, Apple ID, payment card, or billing address. Apple's own privacy policy applies to your App Store account and purchases.

What we do not collect

  • No accounts. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, or password in the App.
  • No tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and the App does not ask for tracking permission.
  • No analytics or crash reporting. The App does not include analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising tools.
  • No location, camera, microphone, photos, or contacts. The App does not ask for these permissions.

Notifications

FitFare can send you notifications, for example when you earn screen time. These are local notifications that your iPhone creates. We do not use push notifications, and we do not receive a device token. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings.

Our website

Our website at fitfare.app does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., processes standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the website and protect it from abuse. If you email us, we use your email address and your message only to answer you.

How long information is kept

Information that FitFare stores on your device stays there until you delete the App. The App does not have a "delete all data" button: to delete all of FitFare's data from your device, delete the App. If you back up your iPhone with iCloud or a computer, the backup can include App data under Apple's terms.

RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as it needs them to manage your subscription and to meet legal requirements, for example tax and accounting rules. To ask us to delete these records, see "Your choices and rights" below.

Emails you send us are kept for as long as we need them to answer you.

Your choices and rights

  • Health data: Turn FitFare's access to each data type on or off in the Health app (Sharing, Apps, FitFare) or in Settings.
  • Screen Time: Turn off FitFare's Screen Time access in Settings, Screen Time.
  • Notifications: Turn them off in Settings, Notifications, FitFare.
  • Subscriptions: Manage or cancel them in your Apple ID settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions).
  • Delete your data: Delete the App. To ask us to delete the purchase records that RevenueCat holds for us, email support@fitfare.app.

Because FitFare has no accounts, we usually cannot link a request to you. If you ask about your purchase records, we may ask you for information that lets us find them, such as an App Store order ID.

If the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, these are our legal bases:

  • Purchase records and the anonymous RevenueCat ID: performance of our contract with you (to provide the subscription you bought), and our legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
  • Health data: your explicit consent, which you give when you allow FitFare to read each data type in Apple Health. The data is processed on your device only. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the Health app.
  • Website technical data: our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the website.
  • Emails you send us: our legitimate interest in answering you.

Your rights in the European Union

If the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use these rights, email support@fitfare.app. You can also complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.

RevenueCat may process purchase records outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. For these transfers, we rely on adequacy decisions or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete or correct it, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. The only personal information we receive is commercial information (App Store purchase records) linked to an anonymous ID, for the purposes described in "Subscriptions and RevenueCat". We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To make a request, email support@fitfare.app.

Children

FitFare is rated 4+ on the App Store. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. FitFare does not collect personal information from any user beyond the anonymous purchase records described above. If you think a child gave us personal information, email support@fitfare.app and we will delete it.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Apart from RevenueCat as described above, we share information only if the law requires it, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. In that case, this policy continues to apply to the information.

Security

Health data and Screen Time data stay on your iPhone and are protected by iOS security. Purchase records sent to RevenueCat are encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date and version number on this page show which version is current. If we make a material change, for example if FitFare starts to collect new types of data, we will update this page before the change takes effect and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.
